امروزه از پرکاربرد ترین سیستم ها و وسیله های ارتباطی در تجهیزات شبکه استفاده از گوشی آی پی فون می باشد. سیستم دکت (DECT) که مخفف عبارت Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications سیستمی بهبود بخش در تلفن بی سیم بوده و با فرکانس 1880 تا 1900 مگاهرتز امکان پذیر است. امکان استفاده از این گوشی آی پی فون دکت بر روی شبکه های مخابرات عمومی (PSTN)، شبکه های تلفن همراه (GSM) و مرکز تلفن تحت شبکه (ISDN) می باشد. فناوری DECT در واقع همان تلفن بی سیم است که به همراه آنتن سلولی IP به صورت استاندارد برد و مسافت استفاده از تلفن بی سیم را افزایش می دهد. این آنتن دیجیتال امکان استفاده را به تلفن هایی می دهد که از این فناوری دکت پشتیبانی کنند.
